economic:
VS has proved who they are; in their first year only producing $500,000 in sales. When they knew they had to change direction they did it so well and increased their profit. VS has made a name for themselves; they outnumber brands including Gap, OldNavy, FreePeople; all who have been around for quite some time.
With $6.6 billion in sales there is no confusion that Victoria's Secret knows what they are doing

Legal:
The two major legal issues Victoria's Secret has gotten into were dealing with name and copyright rights. When comparing to other companies this is not the worst thing that could happen. In one of those cases it was another company who was trying to take Victoria's Secret likeness (Victor's Secret).
In the Zephyr case that in currently still in progress VS switched up their supplier and did not put it on the label. VS not putting on the label what company it is by or where it is made is an issue but in the grand scheme of things not the worst thing in the world. VS will most likely have to include more details on their packaging for now on.

ethical:
When looking at VS and their ethical issues I would have to say that they have some serious work to do;
child labor laws, not being environmentally friendly, and their issue with sex appeal is something that could destroy their company. This is how customers view Victoria Secret. Yes they are a lingerie brand but their target market needs to be identified along with how they portray themselves.

Philanthropic:
VS has raised millions of dollars each year with their annual fashion show. They also participate in a cycling event that raises money for cancer research. But with such a enormous company and all the people who are familiar with VS you would think there would be more ways that VS is reaching out to the community and giving back. When researching VS and different charity's they are a part of it was obvious that these two were the only ones that VS has participated in
